New Ozobots
Thank you Anaheim Public Library for purchasing these new Ozobots for us to use in our summer camps and future programs! We are excited to incorporate them into our coding curriculum. They provide screen-free coding and are great for teaching computational thinking, logic, and software programming.

Intermediate Python Workshop 9
Today wrapped up our final lesson for the Spring semester's Intermediate Python workshop series. We got together twice a month for an hour each time, and the students picked up a lot of new skills. Today, we went over everything we've learned and celebrated with an end-of-semester party full of snacks. There was an Emergency Evacuation because of a chemical spill a few blocks away, so we were glad to welcome any students affected by it who were staying at the nearby emergency

Two workshops in one day! Beginner Python and Intermediate Python 5
Today we continued with our Intermediate Python class and programmed a banking simulation program where a user can deposit and withdraw money. After the Intermediate class was over, we taught a Beginner Python class and we had a great turn out of 10 new students from the community. Today we learned did practice problems on CodingBat and the concepts we reviewed concepts on functions, conditional statements and loops. We learned how to use the absolute value function as well. We started off the New Year with our first Intermediate Python Workshop! Our beginner group has built a solid foundation and are ready to continue building with intermediate Python programming. Impact Report 2025
Young Makers Academy held 9 successful coding workshops to students ages 9-16 from March 2025 to December 2025. Final workshop of 2025!
We completed our beginner Python workshop series that met from Sept-Dec 2025 and the students received certificates of completion. We learned a lot during these 4 months and the students are eager to advance their skills in 2026. Thank you Anaheim Library for providing us with a pizza party to celebrate the end of the season.
