Creating Young Makers Academy

Young Makers Academy grew from a balloon twisting event at the 2024 OC Maker Faire where our founder, Jonathan, was asked by the Anaheim Public Library to host a balloon twisting workshop. After the balloon workshop, Jonathan was asked to teach a robotics coding class and these classes led to a couple of students inquiring about more in-depth coding resources. Young Makers Academy was created to address this need for coding classes. Our nonprofit is still in its beginning stages, but our goal is to make free coding classes accessible to all young minds because our mission is empower students to think creatively, solve problems and build with purpose through the power of coding. We want to thank Anaheim Public Library for providing a wonderful makerspace for all children and here are some photos from past events below.
